Emily Ghazarian and Jason Lin won First Prize in the Elementary Duet Division at the 2012 Ohio Music Teachers Association (OhioMTA) Graves Piano Solo and Ensemble Competition on March 10, 2012. Their wonderful rendition of Schubert’s Marche Militaire, Op. 51 No. 1, received excellent remarks from the judges, one of whom wrote, “Schubert would have been thrilled to hear you two play his music." Click here for news report from Mansfield News Journal. The duet also won Honorable Mention at the Junior Duet Division of the 2014 OhioMTA/Grave Piano Solo and Ensemble Competition.
Meiyan Timberlake and Andrew Xiao won 2nd Place at the Junior Duet Division of the 2014 OhioMTA/Grave Piano Solo and Ensemble Competition, and as the 2nd-prize winners, both of them were invited to perform at the Winners' Recital at the Graves Piano Recital Hall in Columbus on March 23, 2014.
